Donald Trump, upon taking office, has been a whirlwind of activity, reversing numerous Biden administration executive policies, withdrawing from the Paris Agreement, repealing the 14th Amendment to end birthright citizenship, and signing a directive to restore freedom of speech within the federal government. Following a series of executive orders in front of a boisterous crowd at the Capital One Arena, he tossed his Sharpie to the audience before heading to the Oval Office for further orders. Trump also declared a national emergency to mobilize troops at the U.S.-Mexico border, abolished DEI programs in government, and denied the existence of transgender, nonbinary, and intersex individuals across the government. Moreover, he has designated cartels as foreign terrorist organizations and relaxed regulations on oil production.
