The latest survey seems to reveal a new trend in the United States’ news dissemination — social media news big V’s have become the means of information for many adults. It’s astonishing that the young people’s proportion is as high as 37%, while the elderly aged 65 and older is only 7%, truly a ‘youthful vitality’. Interestingly, regardless of political affiliation, Republicans or Democrats, there seems to be the same enthusiasm for these big V’s news, with 21% and 22% respectively, which seems to suggest that political beliefs are somewhat redundant in this trend. As for race and income, it seems that the big V’s are more popular with minority groups and low-income individuals, which can’t help but evoke the ancient saying ‘poverty cannot be moved’. As for opinions, most people seem to have become ‘peacekeepers’, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, but those with extreme ideological views seem particularly steadfast, and the big V’s of Republicans and Democrats seem to be ‘like-minded’.
