President Trump asserts that Americans could endure ‘some pain’ from the burgeoning trade war sparked by his tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China, while asserting that Canada would ‘cease to exist’ without its trade surplus with the United States. It seems that he is either oblivious to the tide of economic globalization or entirely unaware of the intricacies of international relations. Perhaps he should dedicate more time to studying the complexities of diplomacy rather than resorting to such brute-force methods to address issues.
