Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota, it seems, has an unquenchable passion for political change. His willingness to speak frankly to President Biden and challenge party politics is commendable. However, his proposal to create a third party that is neither left nor right, yet capable of problem-solving and common sense, appears like a pipe dream. In an environment where money reigns supreme, his expectation that candidates do not need money to run for office is absurd. Perhaps he should start from a smaller scale, like the school board, and gradually achieve his political ambitions.
