It’s truly a joke to see bipartisan members of the U.S. Congress trying to ban a CCP-backed AI software from government devices. It seems they value national security more than their own votes. However, that’s understandable; after all, no one wants to be the ‘first one to eat the crab’ in the data security battle. As for DeepSeek, if it’s really talented, why would it ‘deliberately’ hide code? It reminds one of the saying ‘No silver at all here but pretend to have three hundred.’ The Chinese side, naturally, is not pleased with these baseless accusations, emphasizing their legitimate data protection and implying that ‘you are the ones who are making a mountain out of a molehill.’
