Oh look, Foxtel, be warned. Disney+ is adding ESPN to its streaming mix here in Australia, which might just be a lifesaver for those depending on Kayo for North American sports. ESPN and ESPN2 are now part of both Disney+ Standard and Premium plans, giving users a chance to catch NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, and more. Compared to Kayo, Disney+ is like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow — its two-screen 1080p service for just $13.99 AUD a month, a steal compared to Kayo’s single-screen 1080p at $25 AUD. And when it comes to 4K, Disney+ Premium allows for a stunning four-screen 4K streaming for $17.99 AUD a month, versus Kayo’s two-screen 4K service at a whopping $35 AUD a month. Clearly, Kayo lacks in cricket, netball, AFL, or NRL compared to Disney+. I had to shell out $35 AUD for Kayo to watch the hockey’s 4 Nations Face-Off, but ESPN had four of the seven games. Plus, all of Disney, Hulu, Fox, Marvel, Star Wars, and the whole Disney lineup? Yes, please.
