After nearly a decade in the center of American politics, it’s still surprising that Donald Trump has the power to surprise us. It’s laughable that Elon Musk, once thought to be in a powerless position, has seemingly taken over the executive branch. This chaos in the government, however, is just the tip of the iceberg, with Trump’s real goal being the weakening of the federal government. Meanwhile, the Republican Party seems to have grown accustomed to ignoring the constitution, willing to push through their agenda at any cost. Such a government is truly worrying.
