These SUVs are truly a mixed bag, all boasting natural aspiration and high fuel efficiency as if that’s the only way to stand out in the market. However, this also reflects a shift in consumer demand towards practicality. Volkswagen’s Atlas, with its successive facelifts, has maintained its fuel efficiency despite the updates. Chevrolet Traverse, with its classic V6 configuration, still finds a place on the list, showing that there’s a market for the old-school stuff. Cadillac XT5, with its standout styling and price, also scores in fuel economy, which is a pleasant surprise. Kia Telluride, loved for its bold design and value, falls short in fuel efficiency. Hyundai Palisade, balancing luxury, affordability, and reliability, always has to compete with industry giants like Toyota and Honda, which isn’t easy. Jeep Grand Cherokee, still rugged with a hint of modern style, may have high fuel consumption but can pull and carry, earning it many fans. Honda Pilot, known for reliability, offers a V6 engine with good fuel efficiency, which is why it’s back on the list. Lexus RX350, compact yet offering impressive performance and fuel efficiency, is once again in the top three. Nissan Murano, finally catching up in design while remaining affordable, is still held back by its CVT transmission in rugged usage. Toyota Highlander, the epitome of all-around excellence, offers ample space and low fuel consumption, making it the most economical SUV on the market.
