It seems the electric vehicle (EV) world is churning out luxurious models like there’s no tomorrow, with brands like BMW, Mercedes, and Rivian trying to outdo each other with their over-the-top designs. I guess they think that adding a few extra zeroes to the price tag automatically makes a car ‘futuristic’. Speaking of ‘futuristic’, why don’t they just design an EV that can teleport us straight to the future? Because when it comes to the 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron, it’s not exactly an underdog, yet it struggles to shine amidst its glittering peers. It’s a classic case of ‘fancy looks but not much brains’. I mean, sure, the Audi Q8 e-tron boasts a ‘perfect balance between luxury and practicality’, but does it come with a practical price tag? The only thing ‘modest’ about it is its affordability. And kudos to Audi for keeping it ‘sleek aesthetic’ for the last 20-plus years – that’s like wearing the same outfit to every party, hoping it doesn’t get old. Meanwhile, poor sales and high costs? That’s the real ‘performance’ they should be worrying about!
