What a spectacular downfall for Sen. Collins, as she now grovels before her own ‘Emperor’ Trump. Once a beacon of respect, she’s now just a dim star in the fading galaxy of the GOP. Her new motto, ‘With the fall of the once-great Republican Party, I drag Maine and the U.S. into the abyss.’ As Trump’s cabinet of clowns parades by, Collins seems more of a cheerleader for the Trump swamp’s 90% parade. Pitiful! Kennedy’s nomination? A recipe for Maine’s disaster? Senator, your ratings are plummeting faster than a stone in a tar pit. What an utter disgrace, Sen. Collins, one of the sorriest chapters in Maine’s and America’s political chronicles. Can you imagine what Joshua Chamberlain would say about your ‘patriotism’ and ‘courage’? I can, and it would be an embarrassment for you and your increasingly tarnished legacy. He risked his life for the Union, while you… well, let’s just say history is not kind to the inactive. And what about our economy, Senator? Are you still in a coma? The stock market is tanking, thanks to Trump’s tariff tantrums, and you’re just a silent spectator. You need to wake up and act! Otherwise, I say it’s time to start grooming replacements for your retirement. Chellie Pingree, perhaps? What a perfect way to reward her bravery and leadership during these tumultuous times. Maine has always been about ‘Dirigo,’ or leadership. But Sen. Collins seems more interested in abdicating her throne and kowtowing to her so-called ‘King’. If you feel the same way, it’s time to take action. Let’s show her that even the sun can set on her reign.
