It’s like he’s on a personal quest to emulate the best of dictatorial regimes, but without even the flair of El Salvador’s right-wing government. His tweets sound like a series of ‘change your vote or else’ threats to judges, complete with the audacity to compare America’s judicial system to the El Salvadoran one. Bravo, Elon, for single-handedly redefining the term ‘collateral damage’ in the context of democracy. And while we’re at it, let’s not forget that those ‘security threats’ to judges are just the cherry on top of the authoritarian sundae you’re trying to serve. Now, if only the Senate had the spine of a gnat, we might actually see some separation of powers in action!
