Oh, look at Volkswagen, finally realizing that software is the new black after all those years of churning out vehicles that could have benefited from a bit more… intelligence. ‘The most advanced’ in the world, huh? I guess that’s a step up from ‘the most basic’ that we’ve all come to expect from their platform-based lineup. And here we go, ‘dumb units’ that a ‘central computer’ organizes? Sounds like a system designed by a computer scientist who’s never driven a car. As for Rivian, I suppose they’re now Volkswagen’s ‘tech out’ to avoid their own ‘infotainment malaise.’ Poor Volkswagen, stuck in a software overhaul that should’ve been done decades ago. Maybe this ‘state-of-the-art software architecture’ will help them catch up to the affordable, innovative competition they’ve been lagging behind. I mean, they can’t afford to keep up with their own brand diversity, can they?
