What a delightful show of loyalty from the tech giants! It’s almost like they’re trying to patch things up with a CEO who was president only in their dreams. ByteDance’s about-face is more impressive than a magic trick at a child’s birthday party. And here’s a side note for the record: if TikTok’s back in the U.S., does that mean we can now start TikTok? I mean, it’s like getting back an old pair of jeans that were ‘banned’ because they were a bit too cool. Oh, and look who’s coming to the inauguration – a who’s who of tech titans, each one a VIP ticket to the land of the free, if only you can pay with likes and shares. It’s like the tech world is holding a ‘comeback kid’ party, and the only guest list that matters is the one that’s trending. And don’t forget, the Supreme Court upheld the ban that was never enforced? That’s like saying you’ve won a contest you never entered. Now, if they want to ban disinformation, maybe they should start by removing all those ‘community notes’ on Meta that are as factual as a conspiracy theory. But hey, at least they’re all there to support the new boss, right? No matter what the old boss says, it seems the only thing that’s ‘fake news’ is the idea that these guys are independent!
