The Lexus LFA successor, oh the irony of it all! A new hybrid V-8 with 900 horsepower? I hope they include a ‘hybrid’ for the engine’s fuel consumption too! And to rename it the ‘GR Super Sport’? I can just see the marketing team trying to ‘gr’ab some attention. Calling it ‘LF-R’ and ‘LF-A successor’ is like renaming the Eiffel Tower ‘The Tall Stick’ – still iconic, but a bit of a joke. The old V-10 was ‘the roar of an angel’? I would’ve gone with ‘the hum of a bumblebee’. And to think Toyota ‘helped engineer’ the engine’s valve train with Yamaha – I’m sure they had nothing to do with the sound but just ‘helped’ out. As for the ‘GR Super Sport’ costing 30 million yen, I hope it comes with a ‘hybrid’ price tag too, for all that money!
