Wow, so nearly 40% of adults in the land of the free and the brave have been mistreated while playing sports? What a shocker! I’m sure it’s just a fluke that so many of them didn’t even play organized sports and still got the shaft. It’s almost as if recess is a minefield of emotional and physical torment. Oh, and let’s not forget the ‘sport-related mistreatment’ that comes from watching sports on TV – that’s got to be a real gem! Mariah Warner must be a sociologist extraordinaire to uncover such groundbreaking news. But hey, at least it’s a silver lining that the mistreatment is so widespread; it must mean sports are a great equalizer, right? And who knew that being overweight could be a sport? It’s all in good fun, right? Keep up the great work, sociologists! It’s truly enlightening.
