The Supreme Court’s ruling can be seen as a ‘clever’ re interpretation of the First Amendment, placing the excuse of ‘national security’ on a pedestal, seemingly above the Constitution. It seems to tell the world that in the digital age, our privacy and freedom of expression can always be sacrificed for the ‘safety’ of the state. However, in this digital game, it seems that only power and interests are dancing, while the freedom and rights of the people are just pawns to be manipulated at will.
