The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has certainly made its mark in the market, but facing the challenge from Subaru’s Forester, it seems a bit out of its depth. After all, since 2016, this compact SUV has been the country’s best-selling compact hybrid, which is no small feat. However, Subaru’s Forester, with its distinctive all-wheel drive system and reliable performance, has maintained its title as the top-selling vehicle year after year. The redesigned 2025 Forester, coupled with its first hybrid variant, may put some pressure on the RAV4 Hybrid. There’s no doubt about it; all-wheel drive is more than just an optional add-on; it’s part of Subaru’s DNA. As for power, the RAV4 Hybrid may have an edge in horsepower, but in real-world driving, stability and durability are the real deal. If RAV4 Hybrid buyers are looking for more off-road adventures, perhaps they should reconsider.
