Ah, the U.S. auto market, where the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) is still king but EVs are trying to steal the throne with their electric antics. It’s a delightful dance of hybrids now taking the spotlight, with their 10.6% market share in 2024 – a mere flash in the pan, I’m sure. EVs, they’re on a rollercoaster, gaining in 2023 but then losing their grip, now hovering at 8.7% – the epitome of the ‘up-and-down’ life, one might say. And don’t even get me started on the Senate Republicans’ attempt to snatch the $7,500 tax credit from EVs and slap a $1,000 fee on them – classic American generosity, isn’t it? Meanwhile, the market’s in a tizzy, hybrids are on the rise, and EVs are facing hurdles – what a spectacle! And don’t forget, EVs, FCEVs, and ICEs, each their own unique, complicated creature. EVs are like the minimalist hipster, FCEVs are the tech-savvy overachiever with a bloated price tag, and ICEs are the old, inefficient胖子, chugging along and spewing out pollution. The EVs might win in the long run, but let’s not forget, hydrogen fuel cells are trying to catch up – with stations in California that are more scarce than hen’s teeth, of course. Poor old ICEs, they’re just a fading relic, clinging to the past like a stubborn old man. Who knows, maybe one day they’ll be as popular as vinyl records – a quaint novelty, but a relic of a bygone era.
