Oh, look at Rivian’s latest attempt at sophistication with the California Dune Edition. It’s like a ‘bespoke’ interior for those who don’t want to touch the grimy real world. Two-tone design? More like two-tone ‘hippie chic’! The ‘earthly’ tones must be from the same color wheel as ‘last season’s fashion’. And don’t get me started on the ‘rugged’ flooring that repels sand but doesn’t seem to prevent it from getting everywhere. Now they’re throwing in a ‘Sound+Vision package’ – I guess to compensate for the lack of actual adventure. At least the ‘exclusive paint color’ is ‘warm and neutral’ – sounds like a safe bet for a car that doesn’t take risks. Ah, and the ‘limited edition’ – because Rivian’s so generous with its stock. Bravo, Rivian, for another grand gesture of ‘innovation’.
