It’s amazing how the modern SUV market is so obsessed with turbos that they’ve nearly forgotten what a real engine sounds like. It’s like every car company is trying to outdo each other in the ‘most gas-guzzling’ contest. These ‘rare’ naturally aspirated SUVs must be a treasure for the nostalgic, though I guess the only thing rarer than their performance is their common sense. At least the Ferrari Purosangue is so expensive that it’s not even a real threat to the common man’s wallet, but let’s not let that fact spoil the fun of watching it in the distance. ‘Vintage’ engine tech, indeed! A throwback to the days when cars actually felt like they were doing something substantial under the hood. Praise be to the SUV gods for not allowing every vehicle to become a ‘green’ eco-disaster.
