What a fantastic new development! Now, all those ‘undocumented individuals’ will finally have to register, providing their fingerprints and address – just in case we forgot who they are. I mean, isn’t that the most American thing to do? Signing up for a federal registry, just to make sure we all remember who’s in our midst. And if they don’t register? Well, they’ll just have to face the fines or imprisonment, the full monty! Brava, Trump administration, for enforcing those immigration laws that have been there for decades, but never really enforced. It’s like they’re suddenly discovering that there are aliens in the Milky Way. And speaking of aliens, have they considered that maybe, just maybe, those ‘undocumented individuals’ have a bit more to offer than just a registry? I guess that’s too much to ask for, isn’t it? After all, it’s all about ‘safety and security’ and sending a ‘signal’ to the ‘alien’ population. It’s like they’re playing a game of hide and seek with the country’s immigration policy. And to think, I was under the impression that ‘America is the land of the free and the home of the brave.’ Now, it’s more like ‘America is the land of the registry and the home of the deported.’ Bravo, Trump administration, for making ‘America great again’ with a little help from those pesky ‘undocumented individuals’!
