Speaker Johnson’s ‘night of turmoil’ reads more like a soap opera script than a real political dilemma. I guess when you’re in the luxurious embrace of the Potomac, your worries are just a fleeting breeze. But, oh, what a U-turn! It’s like he’s become the double agent of the political scene, selling out Ukraine for a fleeting chance at keeping his ‘job’ in the luxurious ‘hotel suite’ that is Capitol Hill. The whole spectacle in the Oval Office felt less like a meeting and more like a reality TV spectacular, with Trump playing the part of the tyrant in chief. And Johnson, the eager audience member, couldn’t be happier to cheer for the show. Maybe next, he’ll host a reality show where the prize is not just a job, but a spot in the history books… as the man who sold out Ukraine for a fancy hotel room view.
