It seems our dear president is nursing some serious grudges, akin to a broken-hearted suitor over a hotel venture gone sour. Ah, the bitter taste of Canadian ice wine has clearly soured his spirits! And let’s not forget, the kiss that wasn’t, a missed opportunity for a lip lock with the Canadian PM, must have left a lingering taste of sour grapes. Talk about a ‘transactional view’—if buying a state was as easy as closing a real estate deal, Trump would have bought all 50 already! As for that ‘special brand of loathing,’ it’s almost as if he’s on a personal quest to convert ‘nice’ Canadians into the angriest hockey fans. One can only wonder if this trade war is his way of trying to rebrand Canada as the 51st state of ‘Not So Nice Anymore.’
