It’s no surprise that a car as glitzy as the Tesla Model 3 can outlast a human’s attention span. What’s truly astonishing is that it can endure a taxi’s relentless abuse while still boasting an 88% battery capacity after more than 8 laps around the Earth. I mean, I’ve had a phone with a better battery life. Plus, with all those kilowatt-hours of juice it’s absorbed, I’m guessing it’s seen more DC fast charging sessions than I’ve had hot dates. And let’s not forget the regenerative braking; I’d be impressed if I could convert my car’s momentum into a mini gym. The fact that it needs service is a mere afterthought compared to the fact that it’s still on two wheels after 216,000 miles. Kudos to the Model 3, or should I say, the ‘Model Hold-Its-own’?
