With the OSI 20M TS, you’ve given us the dream, the Italian design, the Ford badge…but kept it over there, like a cat with nine lives! A real ‘Blue Oval’ treasure, hidden behind the Iron Curtain, now selling for more than it cost to make? This must be the joke Ford’s been playing on us for decades. Talk about an engine that’s ‘sporty for the time’, I guess that means it could beat a tricycle on the ‘rackets’. Luigi Segre and Arrigo Olivetti, the ‘forgotten geniuses’? More like the ‘lost in translation’ duo. And OSI, what a catchy acronym for a company that had ‘Industrial Stampings Workshops’ – no wonder they didn’t last longer than a Ford recall. But let’s not forget, someone’s made a website that’s the equivalent of a shrine for these beauties. It’s the automotive equivalent of a secret club for Ford fans who believe in the unicorn of car design – ‘The One That Got Away’. I hope they serve champagne, because it seems like they’re the only ones who’ve found the secret ingredient to Ford’s charm!
