And her promise that ‘scores will go up’ without the department? That’s like saying the sun will rise tomorrow. Her approach to funding is as creative as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The Republicans, it seems, are more concerned with the ‘fewer restrictions’ for states than the well-being of our nation’s students. Bravo, McMahon, for giving us a masterclass in political theatre and fiscal fantasy!
