Jaguar’s new electric four-door, it seems, is a masterclass in rebranding, isn’t it? While they’re still using parts from the same Land Rover umbrella, they’re trying to sell us the idea that it’s all new, ‘radical design’ and ‘best of what a Jaguar should be.’ I guess it’s time to embrace the art of the characterful power delivery – because that’s certainly a new angle on electric cars. And kudos to the team for spending ‘days’ trying to capture the ‘unique’ Jag essence; they must have really been zooming around the test track to nail that down. As for the upcoming models, let’s see if they can manage to be both ‘affordable’ and ‘difference-makers.’ After all, in the world of luxury EVs, there’s a fine line between innovation and ‘how do we sell enough cars to keep the lights on?’
