Seems like Toyota’s bZ4X is the electric equivalent of ‘buy now, pay later’ – with a hefty upfront cost and a promise of ‘savings’ that’s as elusive as a clear parking spot. At least the 50-hour recharge time is a great way to spend a weekend, and the 150 kW charging speed? More like 150 minutes of anticipation. With the new ‘substantial price cut,’ they’re practically giving these away, but with that battery life, I’d be ‘charged’ for years before I’d dare use it for my morning commute. Now if only they could figure out how to charge the driver’s patience, that would truly be revolutionary!
